Although not historically correct, the dress design is based on various examples of Children’s Clothing from the mid to late 1800’s.
The Dress has a lined Bodice which features a Ruffle edged Bib with 8 centralized corded Pintucks, 3 pretty buttons and a bow at Center Front to finish. Medium length Puff Sleeves have elastic gathers at the elbow, lace trim and side bows to finish. Sash ties are attached at the Bodice sides and tie at Center Back. The small bag pictured on the cover measures 17 inches long by 10 inches wide, is sized to work with 13-inch to 15-inch dolls such as Les Cheries®, Hearts For Hearts Girls®, Glitter Girls®, Ruby Red Fashion Friends®, Bitty Baby®, Bitty Twin®, Melissa and Doug® Baby Dolls, and more!

The PDF pattern document includes both measurement charts and printable pattern pieces that need to be taped together. You can use the charts in place of printing out the pattern pieces if desired.

Suggested fabrics:

• Woven no stretch, medium to heavyweight fabric for the body of the bag such as corduroy, twill, duck, or denim. Can be combined with interfacings such as Pellon® SF101 or Soft N Stable® brand thin foam stabilizer (featured in the turquoise/pink example)

Little Flock and Flowers Mini pattern includes instructions for both the sweater and hat, and contains photos and step-by-step instructions for special techniques such as a contrasting edge cast-on, corrugated rib, three needle bind off, and more. There are color charts for the fair isle sections and written instructions for the remaining sections. Best of all, this pattern is almost seamless; only the base of the placket and the underarms require seaming. The sweater has a buttoned placket opening that can be worn at the front or the back. The body, sleeves and hat are knitted bottom up, in the round using stranded fair isle technique. Body and sleeves are knit separately to underarm then joined for the yoke. A placket opening is created at the back, beginning at the start of the yoke. The cuffs, hat band and hem of the sweater are knit in 2-color corrugated rib. The hat is closed at the top using either the 3-needle bind off or your preferred method of seaming.

This pattern requires intermediate skill and includes basic knitting techniques as well as the following additional techniques:
• Fair isle/stranded knitting in the round on circular needles or double pointed needles. I used the magic loop technique.
• Contrasting edge long tail cast on.
• Following a color and knitting symbols chart.
• Making buttonholes with yarn over and knit 2 together.
• Three needle bind off for hat.
• Grafting underarm seams using Kitchener stitch or preferred method of joining live stitches.

The ‘Friendship Bowl’, by Little Miss Muffett, is based on a something wonderful my Gran did for her community for many years. She would make bowls from feed or flour sacks, and then from pretty fabric when packaging changed, decorate them beautifully depending on the circumstance and fill them with goodies. She would then give the bowls to the poor and needy in her community. New babies were welcomed with a bowl filled with things the new mom would not have been able to afford; new brides would receive bowls packed with pretty dishcloths, teaspoons, crochet doilies, etc. Whatever the situation or need, my Gran created a bowl filled with love. Templates for a large and medium-sized bowl, together with a dolly-sized bowl are included in the pattern. The bowl is easy to make and fun to decorate. They are incredibly useful – for bread rolls, fruit, candy, nuts and raisins, etc. They are super for picnics or the beach and make wonderful gifts.
